Welcome Message From Lake Elam's Lady Elect

Hello,

My name is Dena Jackson. I have the honor and the pleasure of being the Lady Elect of Lake Elam Missionary Baptist Church, 4060 Gober Road, Millbrook, Alabama 36054.
I am overjoyed you are here and pray your stay here is exhilarating and exciting!

I was born, literally, in a little town called Elmore, Alabama. My neighborhood I lived in was/is "Lucky Town". I grew up in a two-parent household with my two brothers. I am the middle child. We didn't have much, but as kids and growing up, it never seemed like that. My parents made sure all of our needs were met and believe it or not we got a lot of our wants. My dad was a provider. He didn't show a lot of emotions, but we knew he loved us with every inch of him. My mom was the nurturer. She would buy for us more than she would buy for herself. She made sure the house was taken care of in every way.  Unfortunately, my dad passed away November 17, 2019, at the age of 68. I miss him dearly but I can smile knowing he is now healed. My mom is still living at the young age of 72 and I am grateful to God for that.

I am married to the esteemed Senior Pastor of Lake Elam Missionary Baptist Church, Gary L. Jackson Sr. We have been married for 21 years and counting. God has blessed us with three precious gems Keyana, Lamarius, and Gabrielle.

I was baptized at a very early age at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Elmore, Alabama, under the leadership of Pastor B.E. Moss. I was a member at Mt. Zion until my husband was called to pastor.

I am a graduate of Stanhope Elmore High School, Class of 1993: Go Mustangs!  I graduated top 10% of my class and pursued my Associates Degree in Medical Billing and Coding. I have been in this field for over 10 years. I currently work at a Vascular Surgeon's office in Montgomery, Alabama. I am also the owner of Luxury Time Travel where I book any type of travel you desire, but my specialty is cruises. I am also a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant, which I absolutely love!

I am proud of all I have accomplished. But one of my greatest accomplishments is being a child of God. I love to worship. I love where God has placed me and my family. Lake Elam is a place you would want to bring your entire family to worship and be a part of. We have a ministry for everyone. We are all branches of God, He is the Vine. If we all do our part in the ministry and stay connected to "THE VINE," we can continue to grow God's Kingdom so that He can get the GLORY.
