Serves as right had to the senior pastor and assists in carrying out the ministry of the church.  Assumes pastoral role of senior pastor during his absence.  Builds relationships with members and ministers to their spiritual needs and obtains help for needs as required.  Provides outreach to assimilate newcomers and visitors into the body of the church.
